Special Educational Needs
Five years ago, Harry completed his teacher training in Nottingham, studying the Secondary Design and Technology Education with QTS (BSc) course.
Alongside being a D&T teacher, he is also the STEM Lead and Head of Year 9 at his academy.
Currently, he is completing a Masters in STEM Education at King's College in London.
He has a passion for creating inclusive learning environments where young people feel safe to experiment, make mistakes and fundamentally learn. In the future he will look to complete a National Special Educational Needs Coordinator award so that he can continue to make closer links between both STEM and SEND.
I am passionate about improving the STEM education offering for young people. I believe that with the growing demand in STEM-related careers it is vital to be part of The STEM Project to improve the STEM offering available to young people.
My dream project to work on would be anything relating to new, emerging or disruptive technologies.
I would also like to work on projects which aim to engage a greater number of young people with STEM, in particular young people with special educational needs.
